John Andrew Ford’s USA Mustang Road Trip 

  1. Information on how to enter and the prize form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.


  1. The promoter is Auckland Auto Collection Limited (trading as “John Andrew Ford”) (Company Registration # 939375) of 2 Great North Road, Grey Lynn, Auckland, 1021.


  1. The promotion period commences in NZ at 12.01am on Wednesday 1st March 2017 and closes at 11.59pm on Sunday 31st December 2017.


  1. Entry is only open to New Zealand residents who fulfil the entry requirements (as outlined in point 5 & 6). Employees, directors, management, licensees and contractors of the promoter or its related bodies and advertising agencies are ineligible to enter.

5.     To enter the promotion, entrants must:

a)   Be a retail or small fleet customer (a small fleet customer is defined as a customer who is purchasing a vehicle under Ford New Zealand’s “GST registered” fleet category): and


b)   During the promotional period:

i)    Purchase a new, used or demonstrator vehicle from John Andrew Ford,

ii)   Sign an unconditional purchase agreement.

iii)  Pay a deposit and, if applicable, have finance approved.


b) And then:

  1. Make full payment by no later than 31st December 2017.


  1. Large fleet customers, customers who have arranged a ‘buy-back’ option or customers who cancel their purchase prior to the delivery of the vehicle are ineligible to enter this promotion.


  1. The prize will only be awarded to the winning customer upon confirmation of delivery of the vehicle (or vehicles).


  1. Only one (1) entry is permitted per customer per vehicle purchased within the promotional period. Multiple entries by the same customer are permitted only when multiple vehicles are purchased by the same customer within the promotional period. The number of entries accepted is based on the number of vehicles purchased (e.g. two (2) vehicles purchased by the same customer allows that customer to have two (2) entries into the draw).


  1. The winning entry will be drawn under police supervision.


  1. The winning entry will be the first entry form pulled out of the barrel. In the event that the first entry form is not deemed eligible to win (due to false, incorrect or incomplete details, or not fulfilling the entry requirements as outlined in point 5 & 6) a second entry form will be pulled out. This will continue until a winning entry is found.


The draw will take place at 2.00pm on Monday 15th January 2018 at John Andrew Ford, .


  1. The winner will be notified by phone within two (2) business days of the draw, and also in writing by email or post. The winners name will also be published on the John Andrew Ford website:  on 15th January 2018 for 28 days.


The promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.


  1. If the prize is not claimed, or the winner is not contactable, within 30 days of the draw, the prize will be deemed forfeited.


The Prize:


  1. The prize is an 18 Day United States Mustang Road Trip for two people worth $14,500.00 NZ dollars. It includes the following:


  1. Economy flights for two (2) adults from Auckland to Detroit and Los Angeles to Auckland;
  2. Rental of a Ford Mustang for 16 days with full insurance cover for the winner;
  3. Double or twin-share accommodation at:
    1. Courtyard Detroit Downtown (two nights)
    2. The James Hotel Chicago (two nights)
    3. Four Points by Sheraton St Louis (one night)
    4. Best Western Route 66 Rail Haven Springfield Missouri (one night, breakfast included)
    5. Best Western Plus Barsana Hotel Oklahoma City (two nights, breakfast included)
    6. Holiday Inn Express and Suites Amarillo Texas (one night)
    7. Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa New Mexico (two nights)
    8. Travelodge Holbrook Arizona (one night, breakfast included)
    9. Yavapai Lodge Grand Canyon Arizona (one night)
    10. The Signature at MGM Grand Las Vegas (three nights)
    11. Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel Los Angeles (two nights).

  5. The following tour activities:
    1. Tour of the Ford factory in Detroit
    2. Two hour Detroit city tour
    3. Five hour Inside Chicago and Pizza tour (pizza lunch included)
    4. 45 minute Grand Canyon helicopter tour
    5. Day tour to Laughlin including two free show ticket to Divas.


  1. The prize will be awarded to the winner at John Andrew Ford (located at 2 Great North Road, Grey Lynn, Auckland, 1021) at a mutually agreeable time within 28 days of the draw or confirmation of the vehicle (or vehicles) delivery (whichever is later).


  1. The prize is not transferable, changeable or redeemable for cash.


  1. The value and make-up of the prize is subject to change depending on availability, airfare costs, currency exchange, fuel surcharges and/or supplier changes.


  1. Any changes to the itinerary as stated, upgrades on flights, accommodation and/or tour activities will be at the winner’s expense.


  1. The winner is responsible for any and all other costs and expenses not listed above including, but not limited to, payment for their and their companion’s meals, beverages, mini-bar expenses, petrol, road tolls, excess on vehicle insurance (in the event of a claim), travel insurance, accommodation local payments, parking, tips and other activities or transport. The NZD$500 prezzie card included in the prize is intended to help with some of these additional costs.


  1. The winner and companion should both be over 21 years of age. This is to adhere to hotel check-in and tour policies. Any changes to the itinerary required as a result of a person younger than 21 years of age travelling would be considered at an additional cost and will be at the winner’s expense. 


Travel bookings and flight requirements:


  1. Travel dates are subject to availability and may be restricted over the high-season (December - January & June - September). The promoter will make every effort to book travel dates in line with the winner’s preference, however bookings will be based on availability and cannot be guaranteed.


  1. The prize must be booked, and travel dates confirmed, before 5pm Monday 30th April 2018 via the promoter’s marketing personnel. Booking details will be provided to the winner upon presentation of the prize.


  1. The winner is solely responsible to ensure all immigration requirements (for themselves and their companion), such as passports and visas, are valid and met.  


  1. Travel insurance is not part of the prize and should be arranged by the winner.


Rental of the Ford Mustang:


  1. The Ford Mustang vehicle is subject to availability and vehicle model cannot be guaranteed. The winner is solely responsible for picking up and dropping off the vehicle at the allocated start and end locations.


The pick-up location is downtown Detroit and the drop-off location is Los Angeles International Airport.


  1. The prize includes 16 day rental of the Mustang with unlimited mileage and full insurance cover for the winner.  Any additional fees associated with the rental of this vehicle (including but not limited to; insurance excess reduction fees, state and local taxes and surcharges, road tolls, parking costs and petrol) should be paid by the winner.


  1. The winner will be required to have a valid full NZ driver’s license and must meet USA’s driving requirements. A Young Driver Fee is applicable for drivers below 24 years of age and should be paid by the winner if required.


  1. Should there be an incident or accident, the winner is solely responsible to pay for any additional fines or infringements additional to the cover included within the vehicle insurance policy as well as any applicable excess.




  1. The promoter will make every endeavour to secure the winner’s choice of room make-up (double or twin-share) across the duration of the prize however bookings will be based on availability and the winner’s preference cannot be guaranteed.




  1. The Grand Canyon Helicopter Tour is subject to availability i.e. weather conditions, passengers’ health conditions or special events. 48 hours advance booking prior to departure is required. Passengers must at least be 21 years old to take the tour. In the event that the tour is not available John Andrew Ford will arrange an alternative tour.



  1. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorized intervention or fraud, the promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.


  1. The promoter reserves the right to disallow entries in its absolute discretion. Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible entries will be deemed invalid. No responsibility will be accepted for lost, illegible or misdirected entries.


  1. The promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including the entrants’ identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with the terms and conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the promoter’s discretion. Failure by the promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.


  1. If there is a dispute as to the identity of the entrant, the promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.


  1. Entry into the promotion is deemed as approval to use the winner’s name(s) and photograph(s) for publicity purposes. Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeliness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including the outcome), and promoting any products and/or services supplied by the promoter.


  1. Nothing in these terms and conditions limits excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Consumer Guarantees Act, as well as any similar consumer protection laws in New Zealand.


  1. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including non-excludable Guarantees, the promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorized access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to the stated in these terms and conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of a prize by the winner or companion.


  1. All entries become the property of the promoter.
